This last weekend marked the annual Homes for Pets fundraiser and food drive, hosted by the LIV Sotheby’s International Realty office in Ojai and the Humane Society of Ventura County. This event offered an opportunity to meet adoptable pets, bid on silent auction items, learn about disaster preparedness and puppy training from local experts, and have your dog bathed while making crafts with your kids! The event also featured a food drive for dry dog food and cat food for Pantry 4 Paws, the Humane Society’s new pilot program with pantries located throughout the county providing free pet food to those in need.
Spearheaded by LIV Sotheby’s International Realty top-producer and Ojai resident, Nora Davis, and backed by all of the entire LIV SIR Ojai team with set up, donations, catering and volunteering, this event was a grand success with triple the attendance over the previous year and more than $2,000 raised for the Humane Society.
“It has been such an honor helping families find their dream homes and helping animals find forever homes over the decades. I am so grateful for this opportunity to continue this mission while also supporting local community organizations,” says Nora Davis, LIV Sotheby’s International Realty agent and local humanitarian.
If you were unable to make the event but want to help, the Humane Society is always taking donations! You can find their wishlist of items here or donate directly to their cause by visiting hsvc.org or clicking here!
